Our Aggressive Growth Portfolio's 1.9% growth (the blue line) in 15 days is good for any 401(k) account - and twice the comparative S&P 500 gain of 0.7% (the red line)!

RISK: Less than the S&P 500

Our lower risk portfolios proved themselves again in the second half of the month by having NO drawdown while the S&P 500's drawdown was -0.47%. "Drawdown" is the maximum decrease for the period. Smaller drawdown is the measure of the manager's ability to cut investment risk.

So far this year, we have adjusted our portfolios 33 times, 23 of which have resulted in a profit, maintaining our characteristically top performance. Of the total changes this year, 71.9% have been profitable.

Our Barometer

We actively manage our portfolios to avoid sustained losses and to exceed the performance of the market indexes.

We had no decrease in value compared to almost ½% for the S&P 500. Our Aggressive Growth portfolio gained 1.92%, whereas the S&P 500 gained less than half of that at .74%. This period we feel we lived up to our expectations. It appears, however, that the market winds may be changing.

Since March 9, the general market direction has been upward. From that date, the S&P 500 has risen 56.25%. Our Aggressive Growth portfolio has grown 64.46%. Now, the markets appears to be flattening; they may be preparing to fall in value as they did during the first quarter of this year, but our Crystal Ball is broken so we don't know for sure.

Our clients can rest assured, we're prepared for any change in the market winds. We are prepared to protect the account balances of our clients to the best of our abilities when the market turns down.
